WELCOME TO WISSA 2015

The 2015 WISSA World Ice and Snow Sailing Championship will be held in the beautiful lakefront community of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, U.S.A. from
February 9 to February 14, 2015

The World Ice and Snow Sailing Association’s World Championships head to the North American continent and the 2015 event promises to be as exciting as ever!

Fond du Lac Wisconsin, located on the shores of Lake Winnebago, one of largest lakes in the US, is the perfect destination for this storied race series. With the ideal blend of ice and snow conditions for daytime races and affordable restaurants, shops, bars for evening activities the community stands ready to welcome competitors!

This year’s cohosts the Winnebago Association of Kiteboarders and the Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau will team up to deliver high quality amenities, killer conditions, top notch facilities and the spirit of competition.

The culmination of the 2015 WISSA World Ice and Snow Sailing Championship coincides with the start of the local Sturgeon Spearing season, Saturday, February 14, 2015. WISSA competitors will delight in the festival-like atmosphere of this year's events in Fond du Lac enjoying the 26th Annual Sturgeon Stampede, Thursday through Sunday, February 12 – 15, 2015. Events include; one and three day wind & kite surfing participation, "Big Air" Competitions, a massive bonfire on ice, an ice bar, entertainment and closing fireworks.

The 2015 World Ice and Snow Sailing Association’s World Championships will certainly be a year to remember!

Fond du Lac is located in southeast Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Winnebago.
